Birgi Airport Information
Vincenzo Florio Airport (IATA: TPS), also known as Trapani-Birgi Airport and Birgi Airport, is an airport serving Trapani, Italy. It is one of the five airports in Sicily with civil purposes, but is also used for military issues.
Located 8 NM (15 km; 9.2 mi) south of Trapani, and inaugurated in the early 1960s, after a long period of inactivity the airport was relaunched by the Province of Trapani in 2003, and now it hosts several flights, mainly low-cost connections.
With 1.069.528 passengers having passed through the airport in 2009, it is the third busiest airport of Sicily.
